Wag'N Wheels - Ms. Luna Update!

Luna's story is one that should make everyone's heart sing. While she was found tied to a tree, weighing about 50lbs, this girl has now made a full recovery. Check out her picture transformation below - she went from frail and mistreated to healthy and obviously very happy. We are blessed to have found her a forever home that already had a Great Dane.

Luna at in take by the Lawrence County Pound in October 2013 - they got her stabilized quickly. If it wasn't for the volunteers who are there daily she wouldn't have made it... we believe she went without food or water for more than two weeks. She was found tied to a tree on a five foot leash with two feet of it wrapped tightly around her neck. She couldn't move.

She looks like she's smiling doesn't she? Ms. Luna with her boyfriend, Otis, at her new loving forever home in Cleveland, Ohio!

The beautiful Luna with volunteer (and foster) George McNab. We put about 10lbs on her in the matter of a week. This is not as easy as it sounds when working with an emaciated animal - feedings of chicken and rice every two hours, 24 hours a day - many, many trips outside and as much water and sleep as she wanted. Not to mention lots and lots of love and affection.
