What started as a joke to decorate my parents home for Halloween has turned into... quite the neighborhood event. The front yard Green Meadows Cemetery and research lab turned Zombie Ground Zero (complete with animations and 90% hand-built props) are all the rage come October 31st! So, this year we decided to have a Halloween party and invite 50 of our friends! 

What were they to bring to the spooktacular event? Donations of canned food for Grandma's Gifts!

Result: A costume contest. A great time... and  we ended up with $200 in donations and about 100 canned goods. The canned food is to be donated for Thanksgiving and the cash will be used to purchase more food!

It doesn't get any better than that... for the un-dead in these parts... mwahahahahaaa!

Luna was placed on October 12, 2013. She was found tied to a tree... and when you see the images, you can tell she went days without food. When she was found, she had no food or water or even a water bowl. She was taken from her owner and they were written a ticket. We pulled her from the pound and then took her to the vet. More than $500 later and numerous shots and medications, she went home with volunteers to stay for a few days. After pounds and pounds of rice, turkey, chicken, dog treats, and more, every other hour - throughout the night, she started to act and feel like a real dog again. Though friends of friends, we were able to locate a new forever home. She now lives outside Cleveland, Ohio. Check the news page on the Wag'N Wheels site for more photos.
