Today for my birthday I donated $100 to an Appalachian veterinarian office (in Lancaster, Ohio) to help cover the bill for five dogs currently being treated for parvo. These dogs were taken to the vet by a volunteer from the Hocking County Dog Shelter in Logan, Ohio. The three adult dogs are below, the two puppies are not pictured. They soon will hopefully be going to a new forever home, healthy.
We are thankful for Hocking County Dog Shelter volunteer, Amy Beougher for taking these dogs to the vet and using her own money to help them. We are also grateful for Don Kiger, Hocking County Dog Warden, for allowing volunteers to make a difference at the pound and for loving those who have no ability to speak for themselves. We are happy to report that the Hocking County Dog Pound is able to get 98% of the animals in, placed.
