Who we are...
Grandma's Gifts is an IRS registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides goods, services, and opportunities to people and organizations in-need who reside in Appalachia. Grandma's Gifts was founded in 1993 by then-eleven year old Emily Douglas of Columbus, Ohio in memory of her grandma Norma Belcher Ackison of Ironton, Ohio. While Norma lost her battle with breast cancer in 1991 at the age of 60, her grandchildren knew that the lessons she taught them could not be silenced by cancer. This all volunteer-run organization has provided assistance worth over $16.5 million in goods and opportunities to more than 2.5 million people in Appalachia since 1993! Our work would not be possible without our amazing donors. Join us and make a difference, today!
